Kylie Jenner MTV movie awards look for less (altogether under 100 dollars).

Kylie Jenner looked awesome at the MTV movie awards. Below I will show you how to recreate her look for under $100!

out

I, very oddly, combined the pieces together so you can get a vibe of what they would all look like on.

The top is from a website called Hapari.com. It retails for $15 and can be found here.

The skirt is from asos.com. It’s price is $36.58. It comes with the belt, but I would recommend now wearing it with this particular look. Find the skirt here.

The necklace is not shown that well in the picture so make sure to check it out on from an Etsy seller, priced at $12.98, here.

The last items are the shoes. These nude pumps are from Forever21 and retail for $24.80. You can find them here.

Altogether this celebrity look for less comes to a grand total of  $89.36!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Comment below which look was your favorite at the 2013 MTV movie awards! Thanks for reading. :)

Maybelline Eyeshadow quad in 85 Gutsy Green

photo 3.JPG

This is one of the best eye-shadow quads you can get at the drugstore. The pigmentation is fantastic!

photo 2.JPG

The consistency is really nice and creamy.

I have green eyes so it is really cool to frame them with more green. I love how there is so much variety in this quad. You can use the darker colors to do a really cool smokey eye. I find myself spreading the mint green color all over my lid, on its own, really often. It  is so simple but it looks so chic. Plus  the color is really brightening.

Check them out next time you are out and about!

My Little Spaces, Bedside Table Beauty Products Edition

I am starting a new series called, My Little Spaces. They will be organizational or collection posts. So far I am planning to make posts featuring my nail polish and nail products, makeup, hair products, under my bed, my desk storage, my perfume collection, and of course my bedside table beauty products, which will be the content of this post.Image

I try to keep my bedside table clutter free so the only products that are there are ones I use after I get into bed.

I use the Clinque 3 Step Acne System. I am going to do a full review on the whole set once I have used it for longer. Step 1 is in my bathroom because it needs to be rinsed off with water after you use it. I keep these two near my bed and apply them every night. For the most part I like the set but I will share a couple complaints in my more detailed post as well. I also keep some acne spot treatment so I can apply it to my pimples before bed.

I also keep a pumkin spice candle near my bed because it smells really amazing!

I keep an Ulta moisturizer and  a St. Ives one. I am not in love with either, and I am looking to get something a little better.

I also keep some chapstick because my lips are always really dry.

The last product I keep near my bed is a hand cream by Julep.

Maxi Skirts!!!

Maxi Skirts have gotten really trendy in the past year and to me, the trend is still going strong! I love a good maxi skirt because they add a really cool, casual-hip, vib to a look. I have accumulated quite a collection of maxis over the past year or so, and I think it would be cool to share some of my favorites, along with tips on how to style them.

One of my favorite maxi skirts is one, by Roxy, that I purchased from Pacsun over the summer. As soon as I saw it on the website I knew I needed it in my wardrobe. It is called the Roxy Above Deck.

There are two looks you can go for with the Roxy skirt. Either I pair the skirt with a white flowy top or simple white tank to  go for a casual and cute look. It is easy and comfortable. The other option, which is one I tend to prefer, is a little edgier. I like to wear it with my grey and black downtown Manhattan long sleeve tee that I tie at my hips. I wear some beat up black Chuck Taylor’s or some cool combat boots. Pacsun does not seem to have it  in stock anymore and the other online retailers seem to  be out of stock as well. Click for  a link to the skirt being sold on Amazon and on a website called, Dogfunk.com. I also found that they made a second version of the skirt called the Roxy Above Deck 2 that also looks really nice. You can find that here.

I also have a bunch of really inexpensve maxis from Forever21. Only 3 of them are still available on the website so those are the ones I will mention. Click any of the skirts to be sent to the page where you can see more details and/or purchase them.

They are all really great skirts because of how affordable and comfortable they are. Pair each of them with a cute tank and over-sized cardigan or a button down, which you can tuck in or tie up at the waist.

Mossimo® Women's Knit Maxi Skirt - Assorted Colors

This skirt from Target costs 20 bucks and is a basic for any wardrobe. It comes in 4 really cool colors. The skirt is great because you can pair it with basically any top. Just throw on you favorite band tee and you ready to go!

JCPenney has this really classic and elegant maxi for only $10. You could totally wear  this with a nice pair of heels and a silky blouse to any fancy occasion. It is simple yet sophisticated and it definitely wont break the bank!

The last skirt I am going to mention is another one of my favorites but it is also sold out online. It is from Express and I got it for a really great deal. For a warning, the skirt runs pretty big. I purchased a small and it is quite big at the waist. Another thing is that it is really long so you will either have to get it shortened or you can tie the bottom of the skirt, which also looks super cute.

The leopard print is so fun but can also really edge out an outfit.  If you see it in a store or online, snatch it up!

I hope  you enjoyed!!!

Revlon Lip Products

ImageAbout a year ago I saw Revlon lip glosses on clearance at CVS for under $2. Of course, I snatched a couple up. Those were the start of my Revlon lip obsession. My collection is a pretty good size and it is still growing but, I got every one of them on sale. It was either the clearance ones at RiteAid, a deal which I have never seen again, or from one of CVS’s sales that price them at $6.99 and then give you 4 extrabucks. I am writing this post now because CVS is currently having this deal at my local store, so I suggest  you check out the store nearest to you to see if they have the same promotion.

The last blog post I did was a monthly favorites and I shared my love for the Revlon Lip Butters there. I have four currently and I am going to go over them and let you know what I think about each one. My lighting was giving me a lot of trouble so I am putting individual shots taken off of google so I could give a perfectly clear view of the product.

From left to right, Cupcake 055, Tutti Frutti 015, Pink Truffle 001, Lollipop 075

The great thing about these lip-butters is that they have the pigmentation of a good lipstick yet they also have the benefits of a lip-balm. I found all four of them to be really moisturizing.

Honestly, I don’t really know why I bought this color (Cupcake 055). The product is really good but the coloring just doesn’t look good on my skin tone. It is way to light and makes me look really strange. I am not quite sure what kind of skin tone this would fit actually…

This color (Tutti Frutti 015) looks really scary in its packaging. It is a total bright orange color. On the lips, though, it comes off a lot more subtle but still different. I totally recommend this color!

Pink Truffle 001, is a lovely brownish pink that I think would look good on most skin tones. It is a classic and elegant color.

The last lip-butter I own (lollipop 075) is so ridiculously pigminted that its even sometimes to much. This is another color I would totally recommend  Keep in mind, a little goes a long way with this baby.

Image

Next we have lip-glosses! I find the consistency to be really nice and not to sticky. The color payoff of each of them vary. Unfortunately they are not super long lasting but they are good enough for me.

The nam
e (Hot Pink 010) really speaks for itself. It is a pretty universal hot pink and I think any skin tone can wear it. It has some shimmers in it for added sparkle!

This (bordeaux 016) is an incredibly cool color. It is pretty on trend right now with the darker lips fad. I would say that it is a little harder to wear but if you are in the mood for something bold, rock it!

While this (Strawberry Fraise 006)  is a really pretty color I was a little disappointed when I first tried it out. I am coming to realize that lipglosses often look different on the lips than they do in the bottles. I as expecting more of a red color but it is definitely a hot pink. It is still nice, just make sure you know what you are buying.

Peony Pivoine 008 is a really nice neutral pink color. I don’t have any complaints about it, its practical and can be worn at any occasion.

This next color (Pink ice 004) is the least worn out of all my Revlon glosses. It adds a ton of shine and not much color. I just find that its to gunky and looks very wierd with my skin color. It is a light color like the Cupcake lip-butter, which I also don’t like, so I am  just going to stay away from super light pinks from now on.

Crystal Lilac 002 is an amazing color! I love how it has a bluish shimmer to it that makes the lipgloss so unique. It is on the lighter side but I think the bluish tinge makes it more wearable for lighter skin tones like mine.

To date, I have only tried two of the Revlon lipsticks. I  think they are really good and have nice pigmentation but I am usually hesitant to use them instead of the lip-butters because of how moisturizing the latter are.

Pink Pink Velvet 423 is a really nice color. I think its pretty standard as far as lipstick goes. I have nothing interesting to say about it… its a lipstick.

This (Fire and Ice 720) is the perfect red lip. It is timeless and glamourous. I would recomend this to anyone! It is definitly what I put on when I am feeling a little daring.

Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox

20121017-123231.jpg
I literally checked my mail 5 minutes ago, found my Beauty Blogger VoxBox inside, and ran upstairs to photograph the products for this blog post. First off, if you are unfamiliar with what influenster is you can find out all about them here. It’s basically a site that send out boxes of free products and deluxe size samples to people that earn points on their site, which can be done by reviewing products and earning badges. The point is to send the products to people who will share their opinion about the items with other people. So obviously I have received all of these items for free but my opinions are my own!

20121017-123356.jpg
The photo above shows the box I received with all the products. I have not used any of them for long enough to give a full review so this is just a first impressions unboxing blog!

20121017-123538.jpg

20121017-123548.jpg
The box came with the double side card show above that describes each product in detail.

20121017-123643.jpg

20121017-123655.jpg
The first thing I picked out of the box was a Bath and Body Works mini Pumpkin Cupcake candle. I have already lit it (I know, I move fast :) )and am really pleased with the scent! It’s prefect for this season and sets a really nice ambiance. This is not my first BBW candle so I have high expectations for this candle, since their other ones are so good!

20121017-124051.jpg

20121017-124102.jpg
The next thing I pulled out is what I am most excited for, it’s the NYC IndividualEyes limited edition compact in color 0156-08 Dark Shadows. I swatched the colors on my hand and am already really happy with them.

20121017-124752.jpg The compact consists of a an illuminator, a primer, and 4 eyeshadow colors. The illuminator and primer have a lovely creamy feel to them. The eyeshadows are all super pigmented metallic colors.

20121017-125016.jpg

20121017-125035.jpg
The next thing is something I have never seen or heard of before. It’s the goody simple styles spin pin. It says it is for light hair, which is good for me, and seems to be some kind of bun creating tool :) lol. I’m not really into wearing my hair up but I am definitely curious how this is going to work and I will update you when I try it.

20121017-125338.jpg
Next is the Not Your Mothers Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. It is infused with coconut, which is a smell I am not particularly fond of, but I am still looking forward to trying out. The paper that came with the VoxBox says people received that product or the Not Your Mothers Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream. I am a little disappointed that I did not receive the latter option because I am always looking for new curling products but this looks good too.

20121017-125743.jpg
Finally, the last product that I received is the Ever Pro Lashes by Kiss in 56732. I have actually never tried fake lashes so I guess this is my chance!

I hope you enjoyed this first impressions unboxing post! Let me know what you think of the company Influenster or any of the products I mentioned in the comments section. If anyone else received the Beauty Blogger VoxBox and would like to share their thoughts with me or their own blog post about them post a link below! :)
